Anita was born and raised in the Bay Area as the middle child of a loving family. She graduated from Santa Clara University in Communication as a film major. Her passions include looking for new experiences, challenges, or shopping for cute things. Always known within her family and friends to be the 'forgetful one' as well as the cool tempered one, she managed to travel throughout many continents of the world, survive it, and finally return to the Bay Area as her home.

She is now a recruiter at Google, where she loves the challenges and the day-to-day experiences of meeting new people. You will find Anita at a good restaurant, at the driving range waiting patiently for Patrick, and shopping for cute things.

Patrick was born in Hong Kong as the youngest child in a loving family of six. As the only boy and growing up with three older sisters, he always had to find something different to keep himself entertained. He first got ahold of a computer at the tender age of three, and has been hooked ever since. During his childhood and teenage years, Patrick could usually be found sitting in front of his computer in his bedroom, hogging up the family phone line to get online.

At age 15, Patrick and his family moved to the Bay Area where it is now his permanent home. Throughout his high school years, he was obsessed with a video game called Quake, entering numerous international tournaments and was ranked as the #2 Quake player in the world at one point. He eventually decided to pursue his love for technology and graduated with a Computer Science degree at the University of California, Davis.

Patrick is now a Senior Software Engineer at Google. He can frequently be found at a good restaurant, at a mall waiting patiently for Anita while she's shopping for cute things, or playing golf on weekends while he's not working.

Anita and Patrick first met during the fall of 2002 through a mutual friend at a party in Sunnyvale, CA. The two of them quickly became good friends and hung out periodically through the connection of good food, good music, and fun travels. Yet little did the two of them know, this bond and friendship would soon grow into a strong relationship that would last them a lifetime.

Patrick was a true computer engineering geek. The night of their first "date" Patrick's nerves had gotten the best of him and his wallet, that he impulsively went to Banana Republic in an attempt to buy a sleek outfit for that night. He then nervously confided in a friend over IM and a webcam to seek advice on the best look he could achieve for this special "date" (Thanks Lulu!).

Anita was a true girly girl. It would normally take her over 2 hours to get ready and leave the house. That night, as usual, because there was "so much" to do prior to leaving, she was 45 minutes late! When she finally arrived at a restaurant in Palo Alto named Nola's, she found Patrick patiently standing outside of the restaurant, showing no signs of frustration.

The date started off fantastically well as Anita strolled in 45 minutes late with her cell phone earpiece still attached to her ear and immediately asked Patrick where the bathroom was! After such a rough start, the two began to talk and get to know each other (well, it was mostly Anita doing all the talking and Patrick attentively listening). During dinner they found out that they actually both knew how to speak Cantonese, but for whatever reason, they felt awkward using it and therefore continued on to communicate in English. Anita, at the time, thought Patrick had a "ABC" accent when speaking Cantonese (but as a matter of fact, she's the ABC).

Through the next two years, Patrick and Anita continued with their single dating lives. The two of them would every so often meet and share funny dating stories and confide in each for relationship advice (one year during Christmas, Patrick even got Anita the "Worst Case Scenerio" book for dating ;p). They would also go to clubs and bars together, while Patrick was Anita's wingman and Anita was Patrick's wingwoman! They both enjoyed the late nights of girl/guy talk and sobering up with pizza in the night's end. Soon enough after a couple of years (took them long enough!) they would realize that they shared the same values and admired the same qualities in each other.

Shortly after, they began dating in 2004. It was perfect. Everything that he wanted in her and everything that she wanted in him existed. They already knew so much about each other, and most importantly they knew that this would grow into lifetime of friendship and love.
